Craft Women

Last month I went to visit my mom the day after her birthay. The Apartment where my mom and dad live had an open house. Mom wanted me to meet a friend of hers. Her friend had a stroke and is in a wheelchair. She has a PhD in physics. She paints wonderful watercolors and she crafts now. She really loves my mom. They give each other support.

I used to worry that when I got older I might have to give up some crafts. Maybe, maybe not. This one lady to the apartment had to give up woodwork but now she makes beautiful quilts.

I am always welcome in clubs of women who craft. We are not experts, we never claim to craft better than someone else. We just craft and learn more crafts from other crafters. We are crafters of all trades, masters on none.

These women inspire me. jk's Grandma Ashby inspired me. She was working on quilts up until the day she died. I inherited her quilts and some of her embroidery work. We are connected because we craft. jk's mom couldn't craft but she had an eye for crafts. She loved crafts as much as I do.

Later. I'm off to do more crafting.
