There is a footpath along the canal from Birdham to Chichester. I limped a mile or so down it and back again. It was a beautiful morning and this land lubber sure likes being by the water.

The canal is packed with wildlife. I saw a family of swans, with mommy eyeing me warily. I am told that all swans in England belong to the queen (It's good to be the queen...). There are also thin birds that run across the surface of the water. Every quarter mile or so, there is a 200 year old bridge or something.

Nice day -- still trying to borrow a camera, hang on!
