Laughter

Big News, indeed. Riza laughed today; that was music to me.

Her voice strengthens every day but has been low and husky. Last night, I could hear that lilt of Riza's high voice sneaking in. Today at breakfast a couple of things made her laugh out loud. "You found your laugh!" I said, "it sounds sweet."

"Riza laughs," she said. "That's so you know it's me. You have found me in here"

Yup.

Life is Good! Wishing you much more laughter together in the days to come. Great password, by the way... f@!th indeed! Speaking of Faith, Mom is bringing up some holy water that her friend Tina brought her from Lourdes. She asked if she thought it was OK to put some on Riza's right side and if she should ask her first. I told her that wasn't really something you could sneek in when she wasn't looking. "Hey Riz, look over there!" Sprinkle, Sprinkle. I said she should ask Riza and that she would probably think it was a swell idea.

f@!th made the password list as a chachter in "Buffy, the Vampire Slayer." It greatly offended an Objectivst-Randian-atheist on my political blog. I'm glad it's batting .500

I wouldn't say "offended." It was more like, mystified. Of course if I was a Buffy watcher I'd have understood.

Faith is a great thing for those who have it, for those who want it... I'll leave it at that. My rational alternative to it is "optimism." From the sound of things, optimism is highly appropriate these days. "You know I'm in here." That sounds like Riza to me!
